Besides literature, Dr. Thakur is sensitive to climate change as a tangible force. She is an active conservationist at heart and enjoys rallying around environmental projects aimed at combating climate change via engagement with schools and communities. As is her mantra, she writes on things that matter to her! In that vein, she also enjoys spoken poetry and participates in open mics, as well as makes poetry videos for social media in Hindustani and English. Lastly, she, of course, enjoys sipping chai/wine, and sarees.
